Jump The Shark

Jump the Shark - A young band with big ideas, Jump the Shark are a five-piece indie rock outfit who are starting to make a name for themselves on the West Midlands music scene and are creating acclaimed attention for themselves. Despite an average age of just 15 the band has already been spotted by fashion giant ASOS, which picked one of their tracks So Far Away to play on its online catwalk shows.
Having met up through Wolverhampton’s Zip Rock-school they quickly gelled together through their musical taste and desire to write and perform their own music. Within a few months the band had written a number of tracks and last September recorded their debut single Today at Magic Garden Studios with acclaimed producer Gavin Monaghan. They went on to record further tracks towards their debut EP. Working alongside Ed Davies from Zip, the band signed up a new drummer, 16-year-old Liam Price earlier this year, and recorded So Far Away, their current single, which is now available on iTunes. Musical influences range from the Little Comets, Tribes, Bombay Bicycle Club, Biffy Clyro, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Blondie and Primal Scream to Robert Johnson, Hendrix and The Beatles.
